Excellent times at the bar! Lovely outdoors area and good atmosphere. Food and drinks are great as well. Alexa was super helpful on guiding us and taking care of us as if we were good old pals meeting each other after long time.  Unexpected great hospitality from a bar we were just passing by! Definitely recommend this place.

My favourite bar every weekend! The staff are so welcoming and friendly. They have limited vegan food options but a beyond burger (which is on the menu) is definitely the kind of meal that fits with the 'pub grub' vibes and its delicious.

It's a great place to have all types of beers on the tap. It's not expensive, ambience is good. Wednesday will be live music and ladies night. I recommend this place. It closes by 1 am.

McGettigans JLT is on our usual list because of the atmosphere. It's pretty nice. They usually have a separate dance floor so that you can dance when you're in the mood and go to the pub area when you want to relax. The difficult part is finding parking, which takes quite a while. But you can usually find a valet or RTA parking on the street. Overall, a good spot to spend with friends

We have always loved this place and usually come very often with our friends for brunch and then stay for drunch. We spend a lot of time and money here, and my husband is a Green member with 2,228 points on Unlock-which clearly shows our loyalty and how much we support this venue.

Unfortunately, our last visit on Saturday was extremely disappointing. In the middle of brunch, the management suddenly introduced a new rule that Diet Coke could no longer be served in the can. As a diabetic, this is not just a preference but a medical necessity. I need to receive the drink in the can to ensure I actually get what I ordered.

Instead, I had to spend the entire afternoon explaining my medical condition over and over again to each waiter, and repeatedly calling the manager, just to get a simple Diet Coke. This completely ruined the experience for us.

To make matters worse, my friends received the same drink poured from cans, but it was completely flat with no gas. On top of that, for the past few months you’ve also stopped serving Diet Sprite, which leaves almost no proper options for guests like me.

This is not the standard of service or respect we expect from a place where we regularly spend our weekends and invest so much money. The way this rule was enforced in the middle of service, without any consideration for medical needs or for loyal guests, was completely unacceptable.

This spot is fantastic! The Wednesday ladies’ night is an amazing deal at just AED 99, where you can even mix and match your own drinks. Their happy hour drinks have really good options and are among the cheapest in Dubai. The live band is super fun, playing songs that make you want to sing and dance. The vibe is perfect for relaxing after a stressful day at work, and the food is definitely worth the price. Highly recommend!

I rarely write reviews, but this experience deserved a thoughtful note.

Warm welcome, elegant setting, and a Whiskey Sour served with care—truly commendable.
Yet, being asked to pay before taking a sip felt out of step with the venue’s otherwise graceful tone.

A minor policy tweak could turn excellence into perfection.

McGettigan’s used to be my go-to — not my first time here. My sister even worked here before, so the place has always felt familiar and welcoming. That’s why we chose it for a quiet Monday night dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

They had a free bingo game going on, which added a lively vibe, but we were just there to dine. We ordered the Sticky BBQ Pork Ribs, the Spice Rubbed Pork Chop, and McGettigan’s Chicken Wings. I asked for Buffalo, but we were served BBQ instead. I didn’t complain and just let it pass.

The real letdown was the service. We had a reservation, but our server — I believe her name was Louise or Loise — seemed rushed and walked off before we finished ordering. She didn’t ask if that was all or if we needed anything else. Meanwhile, she had time to mingle with other guests at nearby tables.

When I politely pointed it out, she responded sarcastically, “I’m sorry, next time I will ask you.” I said, “Not just me — the other guests too. You just took off without saying anything.” She seemed caught off guard and apologized, but the tone left a bad taste. It felt dismissive, and honestly, I couldn’t help but wonder why we were treated differently.

We didn’t stay long. The food was good, but the overall experience was disappointing — especially coming from a place I’ve always held in high regard.

Been here a number of times and love the outdoor seating area in the evenings. Beverages are really good, food is okay though. The live music adds to the charm of the place.

I went to the reception and was greeted with a blank stare and a feeling of I didn't belong there (first time in  my 38 years on planet earth). I walked back up their very long staircase and went back to my hotel. While waiting, the waitresses smiled and welcomed other patrons, taking them to seats... I don't plan on going back to this place.... they do have Guinness on tap though, and I can't say no to that if someone ever invites me.

Reasonably expensive pricing but cheap attitude. No free nuts or popcorn offered with steeply priced drinks. Good ambience though. Efficient service.

Had the most amazing brunch with my husband and a friend for Father Ted brunch. I wasn’t impressed with the service before but that day the service was impeccable. Management really outdone themselves and did the floor staff. Everything was 5* Please keep it up guys.

Good place to come whilst in Dubai to watch live sports, they have a dedicated sports area to watch. The bar itself has different areas to sit, all of which provide a difference ambience which is good. I haven't tried the food yet, drinks only but il definitely be returning in the near future.

Great sports bar, friendly staff. Went for two years and always had a lovely welcome. The usual Dubai problem with prostitutes which impacts practically every bar there but it's managed well and they can be ignored easily. The 105 inch screen is great for football and Grand Prix and the food is good.

The place is great, quite packed on most days after work because of happy hours. The food and drink selection is average and the staff could be more responsive. I'd stay away from the food because it's generally never that great. Certainly a nice ambience , so a nice place to grab a drink or two.

Nice pub. Drinks in happy hour are economical. Crowd is awesome. There was live music on weekend. Pool games were fun. Nice sports bar

We come here quite regularly, very good atmosphere, most of the meals are nice. Full menu is only available till 10pm, then only limited late night menu snacks are available, thats a pity. Most servers are okay, but not too attentive or friendly, one was once especially rude with us. Otherwise recommended!

Great place. You can never go wrong having a pint here. Brunches are great fun and value.

Super place to meet and to watch all your favourite sports. Most events are catered for with multiple screens. Also the only pup in town that I e found Guinness on Happy hour rates. +++++.

A very Irish tavern-like ambience. Loved the potato& bacon soup and stir fried vegetables. Portion sizes are very generous. Overall great place.

2010 saw the very first McGettigan’s Irish Bar open its doors to great success in the trendy Jumeirah Lakes Towers neighbourhood in Dubai. Since opening McGettigan’s JLT’s popularity has grown from strength to strength, fast becoming a Dubai ‘institution’ and ‘home away from home’ for expats living and working in the city. McGettigan’s JLT is held in high regard as a surefire great night out for both visitors and residents alike. The bar is nestled beneath the elegant, 5 star Bonnington Hotel in Jumeirah Lake Towers and is just minutes walk from the metro and Dubai Marina pedestrian bridge.

Award-winning food and beverage is served daily from 12noon till late. Many of Ireland’s top musicians, bands and comedians are flown into Dubai to perform live in a series of once off gigs throughout the year. Local comedy shows are also hosted regularly at ‘The Baggot’; a dedicated live entertainment venue situated within McGettigan’s JLT.

Great pub. It has everything. Sports screens. Great food, lovely staff, nothing to complain about. Runs like an Irish watch

Typical Irish bar, cool, cozy, happy hours, ladies nights, stand up comedian show, brunch you name it. Good place to hand out with friends. Music not too loud so you can hear each other 😉
